Meetings
Las Vegas-Paradise Sertoma meets each Tuesday at 12 noon in the private room in Denny’s restaurant, which is located at 3081 S Maryland Parkway, in Las Vegas. Click here to view the map. The first Tuesday of each month is conducted as a meeting of the Board.
Meetings regularly cover on-going committee reports and up-coming events. A sign language interpreter is usually present for our deaf members.
Guests are always welcome at regular meetings and are expected to briefly address the membership to introduce themselves. Anyone wishing to address the membership at greater length is invited to contact Betty Hartwig to make appropriate arrangements.
Members are encouraged to purchase a $1 raffle ticket each week. Drawings are held the first Tuesday of each month. Attendance is required to win. Half the money collected from the previous month’s ticket sales goes to the winner. The other half goes to the Convention Fund.
Nominal fines may be assessed at the whim of the fine judge at weekly meetings for misbehavior or violation of club rules – all in good humor, of course. These $1 fines go toward the Convention Fund (for members who wish to attend Sertoma Regional or International conventions). Each month, the “Fine-Free” pass is auctioned to members for one month of unfettered misbehavior.
